After having planned out an entire build for his 2012 LS3 Camaro, our customer called and said he was on the way to our shop with a 2014 ZL1 instead, and he wanted to waste no time getting to it! With just 500 miles, we decided on a few mods that would help increase power in the meantime, but not require us to get into the motor just yet.
The best place to start is by helping the car breathe better – which we accomplished with a RotoFab Cold Air Intake, and Kooks Headers. We also added a 160 degree thermostat, and of course dyno tuned it! This manual ZL1 baselined at 505 rwhp and 488 ft/lbs tq. After our stage one package, he left with 560rwhp and 522 ft/lbs tq! Can’t wait to see this car again in the spring when it returns for heads, a cam, and more boost!
