I bought this for my 2008 Saab 97X with 5.3L engine. It appears well made and some thought definitely went into designing this product. Made in USA is always a plus for me as well. If I was going to rate this particular application it would be a 4 out of 5. It looks good and sounds, performs very well. That being said I found somethings that are not that appealing to me.
The aluminum tubing that is for the main pipe and is thermal coated is a definite positive, except for when you look inside the tube. In my tube there is a lot of sand or dirt that is embedded into the coating, its doesn’t make for a smooth run that is for sure.
In the picture, and in the included directions they show you that there is a baffle, on your vehicle which will close the gap between the header panel and their air box. That would be fine except the Saab 97X doesn’t have these baffles and so there is no way to cover the large gap and I can only imagine how much hot air will be pulled in by it. I will probably just make a cover out of some lexan at some point and use the envoy baffle as a temp let. Just to be clear, I went a purchased a baffle from an envoy at the local junk yard, it fits in the location but there is no way to mount it. The holes in the baffle sit inside the engine bay where there are no mounting points and the Saab hood does not use a prop rod, it has lift supports, the baffles has a place to store the prop rod.
The engine cover sit on top of the tube and as a results it sittings slightly lifted in the corner. Its not a big deal to me and doesn’t seem to be posing a clearance issue.
This kit looks great under the hood and as i said sounds and performs great. Overall I am happy with it but the intake tube and gaping really bother me as they reflect more on the quality and fit to finish.
I have pictures of everything as I went along with this install but I do not see a way to post them.
I am a real person and have not been paid or endorsed in any way for any review, this is an honest review.

UPDATE: The part number needed to fill the gap in front of the air box and header panel is 25884691 UPR RAD Air Baffle ASM. CAI was quick to replace the main tube with a smooth clean one. Overall still very happy with this purchase even more now that I have the proper baffle to cover the gap.
