After hearing about us through a local dealership who sends a lot of work our way, this customer stopped by to talk about his desire to modify his 2005 LS2 Corvette. After having this garage-kept, low mileage beauty for a little while, he was in need of more horsepower. Interested in future road racing events, he was looking for a well rounded package that would provide more horsepower and torque through almost the entire RPM range, something that would help the car feel more powerful and aggressive than in its stock trim.
We decided the best route to go with this car was our “Hellcat” cam designed by Alvin and a 226cc porting and polishing package from Phil at Advanced Induction. We also installed a set of Kooks 1 7/8″ longtube headers with cats to help the car breathe better. The stock intake was changed out for a Vararam, and a few other small items were added to complete the package. At this point, the customer elected to keep the stock catback.
When all was said and done, we picked up an astounding 113 horsepower and 47 ft/lbs torque, all while maintaining stock driveability. The car felt absolutely awesome on the street, ready to scratch the tires at any moment! We have no doubts that this car will be a force to be reckoned with on the road course!
