After having the TVS 1900 installed for a couple years, this customer was ready to take the next step. We had already installed a Level 6 transmission from RPM Transmissions during the initial TVS install, so the truck was ready for the extra power! We added a set of Pacesetter long tube headers, as well as our LS2 “The Force” camshaft. The customer also had us install an electric cutout, operated by a switch in the center console.
During our initial test drive (done on every vehicle before we begin the tear down process) we discovered the truck had a vibration at 2,000 rpms. Upon inspection we found the stock balancer to be the culprit – so we replaced with a 10% overdriven pulley from Innovators West. This was a blessing in disguise, as it allowed us to recoup boost that was lost from the cam and headers. We ended up making the same amount of boost as it came in with.
The truck did not disappoint, rolling out the door with an additional 90 rwhp! With Alvin spec’ing the cam, great driveability was expected – and delivered. The truck came in as a sleeper – but after installing this exhaust with no cats, there’s no hiding the fact that it’s FAST any longer!
