2011 CTS-V 418ci, AI Heads, Cam

When this 2011 CTS-V’s stock engine met its demise through lost oil pressure, our customer decided to build it bigger and badder! Starting with a 418ci block from Texas Speed, we topped it off with a set of 280cc ported and polished heads from Advanced Induction, using Brian Tooley Platinum Valve springs. We also custom spec’d a cam to take advantage of the larger cubic inches.

This build also features an upper and lower pulley set up from Lingenfelter, allowing us to obtain as much boost as possible. We used Fuel Injector Connection 1000cc injectors and an MSD Boost a Pump to cover the fuel situation. For better cooling, we swapped the stock CTS supercharger lid for a ZL1’s, which has a larger cooling brick (not to mention looks better also!).

A melling 10296 oil pump was installed, along with a COMP Trunion Upgrade. We used Kooks for the exhaust – running their 1 7/8″ headers with catted connection pipes. After dyno tuning, the car laid down a whopping 725 rwhp & 704 ft/lbs of torque. Definition of ultimate sleeper? We think so!
