Even though our previous install of our 545 cam and PRC heads yielded nearly 500rwhp on this 2010 LS3 Camaro – it was not enough to hold our customer over any longer. He contacted us again, this time about adding forced induction. We decided on a Procharger D1SC system, as he was looking to make well into the 600rwhp+ range.
Our task was simple, install the Procharger Kit and the accommodating fuel system to go along with it. A couple days later, we went back to the dyno with it. We found that Procharger’s air filter left something to be desired, so we upgraded to our own Procharger Intake kit, yielding another 47rwhp. Our kit consists of a larger air filter and appropriate tubing to install it to the head unit.
When the tuning was all said and done, this LS3 went from 497 rwhp & 445 ft/lbs tq to 669 rwhp & 546 ft/lbs tq, for a gain of 172 rwhp & 101 ft/lbs tq! The procharger, coupled with the 545 cam, made for a really awesome head-turning idle as well. This car will sneak up on you…rolling into the gas it takes off like a rocket ship.
